Top Case Seat Extender (F3-LTD Models 2016-18)

I don't review things often but when I do it's because I've come across something which I believe is a must-have. We onw a 2018 F3L and my wife and I regularly take 100-300 mile day trips through the Colorado mountains. At 6'4" and 300 pounds, I'm on the large side for certain. My wife is 5'3" and 120 pounds. The seat extension adds 5" but it seems like more. If you ride tandem regularly I strongly recommend this product. We no longer have the hard-stop helmet bump (If you've experienced this you know what I'm talking about). It's worth mentioning we also added the BRP arm rests (shown above in the product images). These two things are ABSOLUTELY worth getting together! My wife's riding experience is much better and far more comfortable for her. She enjoys the extra room and when used with the BRP arm rests her shoulder, elbow, arm, and hand positions are natural and fatigue-free. Bottom line, any time you customize your machine in such a manner that it results in you riding it more often...that's the time and money well spent (why else would you make the investment?)! Be certain to read and understand the instructions first for a frustration-free and easy installation. If, like me, after removing the backrest/trunk, you have to make an adjustment to the factory fastener hole mounting locations, you can do so without any permanent modification to your machine. The whole process took me about 45 minutes...and I took my time and did not rush it. It's a very simple installation. Enjoy!

I don't write reviews often but when I do I believe I have something I've come across worth sharing. I've owned my 2018 F3L for 3 years now and our primary activity is 100-300 mile weekend trips through the Colorado mountains with the Mrs. (lots of curvy mountain roads). We've added many custom items to the bike but this is a MUST HAVE if you ride tandem regularly. Bear in mind I'm 6'4" and 300 pounds which is squarely on the large/tall side. My wife is 5'3" 120 pounds. The extra room provides more separation between the riders which improves the rear rider experience and in case of a hard stop you won't have the helmet bump (if you've had it, you know what I'm talking about), plus the back seat rider has more room to relax and enjoy the ride. The extra 4" may not sound like much, but trust me...,it feels like much more. I also installed the BRP arm-rests as depicted in the image above. These two things should be purchased togther...in my opinion. The extra room and the ability for my wife to stabilize herself using arm rests instead of the factory grips, has renewed her enthusiasm for our rides. The BRP arm rests when combined with the rear seat extension create prefect passenger ergonomics. Everything fell naturally into place for my wife relative to arm height and elbow position. No more fatigued shoulders, arms, and hands for the Mrs., long rides have proven this! Bottom line, any customization that results in you riding your machine more often....is time and money well spent! Be certain to read the directions first and understand them...it's not hard. The main thing for me was when I removed the backrest/trunk, the fastener hole alignment with the factory locations needed adjustment. Which...if you read your instructions you will will be able to do this with minimal effort and time with no permanent alterations to the bike.

Great accessory for my F3T. My wife loves the extra room and an added benefit was she is able to see further ahead as she sits back further and can see around my helmet easier. Install took longer than advertised but then again, I'm no mechanic! Highly recommend this product!

Great product, gives that extra room for taller passengers. Also great when used with a backrest to give passenger a good bit more room. Easy install ! I Highly recommend if both driver & passenger are looking for more comfort and space.

1st I want to say I am very impressed with the workmanship and quality. 2nd this is a drastic improvement for my Can Am. Directions were not consistent with the product. The mounting pivot that the top case mounts to is already attached to the new “rails” and there is material present so rubber spacers no longer fit and are not needed. There are no long round head screws to attach plates to original top case mounting screw location. There are two chrome plated hex head screws that are long enough and even though the head is taller that black rounded screws it dos not look like chrome screw will hit the bottom of the case. Also, there is a rubber boot that attaches directly to the accessory outlet to protect the two Fast-on electrical connections. Once you add the provided jumper there is no way to attach this boot back onto the accessory body. I just coated the fast-on connections with a protective dielectric grease. Bottom line is I love the product. Would have been easier to install if directions and product matched but most of you likely do a lot of your own wrenching and you will figure it out.

It's a great product and it has made a great difference to my bike and I am very happy with it
