2014 - 2019 RT/RTS/LTD - BumpSkid TM Ultimate protection for your Roadster.
Dual purpose, functions as a bumper and skid plate with the look of a stylish spoiler. Your worries are over, no more expensive paint damage. No more dangerous evasive moves to miss roadkill or tire treads and if a live small critter jumps out in front of you, well you know.
Made from 3/8” black HDPE (High Density Polyethylene), tough and slick. Replaces that tiny skid plate that lets you tear up your body.
It attaches to the lower flexible area for impact absorption without damaging the body. Ground clearance is not a problem due to the thin profile. It protects everything from the nose to the suspension including the leading edge of the frame. There is no interference with servicing or cooling as it covers the bottom of the trunk area only!
The coverage eliminates air drag from the open cavity under the nose. Added down force is created by the spoiler styling.
Very easy to install with all hardware and instructions included and shown below.

Bump skid
Easy to install. Impressed with the sturdiness of the product. It does lower the clearance somewhat to the already low clearance but has great protection qualities.

it took me longer prepping the spyder to to get ready than it did to mount it

Great Protection
Fast shipping, well packaged, and very easy to install. I used a rubber tube to create a seal between the Spyder body and the bumpskid to keep small debris from collecting there.

Easy Install
Had the Spyder on ramps for the sway bar install, so this one was easy. Nine holes drilled, clips installed, and on it went! Expected a little more of an up-curve on the front lip, will find a black, soft rubber "hose" to seal the gap along top/frunk.

Solid piece that looks great
Installation was a snap. I used car ramps and a floor jack to get enough clearance to drill. Took me about 45 minutes to install. Plastic covering looked pretty battered in places, but revealed no damage to actual material when removed. Packaging was good. Really like the coverage area underneath the bike and was glad to get rid of that flimsy skid plate that is stock. My only gripe, as it is with most motorcycle accessories, is that the price is too high. This should be a $100 part, not an almost $200 part in my opinion.

Very happy to have the additional protection
I The bumpskid arrived in just three business days. Everything was well packaged and the instructions were excellent. I took it down to D&K Service in Cottonwood, AZ. They put my Spyder on the lift and I was out the door in an hour. The service technician told me it was an easy install, everything lined up perfect and it looked like it was a quality upgrade.

The bump skid is a great product, I was able to attach it to the bike in less than 1/2 hour.
